Tannins was started in 2000 by Lisa M. as a high end retail wine shop. After 4 years Lisa added the bar in order to better conduct wine tastings.

2000

Tannins was started in 2000 by Lisa M. as a high end retail wine shop. After 4 years Lisa added the bar in order to better conduct wine tastings.

2010

Soon, guests started to hang out at the bar. After 10 years, Lisa felt it was time to move on and she sold the place to a local couple that had restaurant and wine experience, Jane and Joe Leonardo. Jane and Joe expanded the beer selection and added a few sprits to accommodate the occasional Martini or Manhattan requests.

2014

After 4 years, Jane and Joe decided it was important to focus on family and sold the business to Cyndi and Mike Allas.

Meet the Team

Yvonne

Yvonne came to Tannins over 10 years ago with a background in the hospitality industry, but with little wine knowledge. Today she has an incredible knowledge of the large and varied selection of wines that we offer and she is always helpful in helping you find that perfect bottle for any occasion or meal. In addition to being passionate about wine, Yvonne has a deep rooted love of music and also enjoys the creativity afforded to her by her photography.

Nikki

Nikki works with teenagers with disabilities at her daytime job. Caring and kind is her nature but she loves to let loose and her true personality comes out.

Gina

Gina has been a member of Tannins in one fashion or another for over a decade. Though you won't see her at the shop any longer, you can read her work in our monthly newsletter to our wine club members.

Bobby

Though Bobby has a full time job, he has a passion for wine and would love to open a wine bar someday.

jim

Jim has been with us for a year now and came to us via the printing business. He loves red wine and will always share his favorites with you. Jim has a way of endearing himself to our patrons and is beloved by many at Tannins.

CATIE

Catie has just passed her 1 year mark at Tannins. A longtime hospitality employee, Catie is a hard worker that truly has the guests best interest in mind.

JESSICA

Jessica is a passionate vinofile currently studying for her level 4 WSET. Her knowledge and hard work has been a great asset to the Tannins team.
